A few weeks ago I was preparing a presentation which required doing a search for my works of art in the past. As part of it, I found several illustrations I did in the 80s and 90s. Seeing them felt a sort of excitement and nostalgia for that stage of my life because it was something that I enjoyed. The editorial illustration gives the artist a lot of freedom of interpretation and that is why it’s my favorite. So I’m going to give the task to share with my friends and collectors some of those illustrations that have been part of my career as an artist. The illustration presented here was the first one I did for the Chicago Reader in 1990. The illustration was done in pen and ink. The newspaper staff seem to liked it because I was called to make my second picture with them soon after the first one. The second one was on a topic of The Beatles. I will show it in my next post because I liked a lot and I think you will appreciate it too. For now I hope you enjoy this published article called Good Time, Bad Time.
